This photograph was taken during my first hike on Mount Tammany in New Jersey at the end of November 2020.
All I can think about looking at this image is that it looks like the naked branches are reaching for one another, maybe to get stronger for the winter that is approaching, maybe to be able to bear the weight of the snow that is about to come...
